The amazing SYSTIR, featuring daughters of the celebrated Irish composer, Michael McGlynn (their artistic director) has grown from the legendary ANUNA to create a new and eclectic musical ambience. The inside setting of the historic Church of Ireland Cathedral is perfect as SYSTIR's performance blends modern vocal and instrumental techniques with ancient vocal performance practices to create a unique ethereal ambience. Their repertoire ranges from original songs, written and arranged by SYSTIR, to traditional folk elements as well as contemporary influences such as Kate Bush, Dolores O’Riordan and music from the Game of Thrones television series. Drawing from the wealth of indigenous European songs, including sean-nós, SYSTIR connects ancient vocal styles with contemporary storytelling. En route we can appreciate the wonderful panoramic views of this city, the ecclesiastical and spiritual capital of Ireland.

At the end of the tour you will be given additional links for looking deeper into the city's history and that of this famous Saint.
This tour starts at the gates of St Patrick's Roman Catholic Cathedral, Cathedral Road and finishes at The Friary near entrance to the Palace Demesne, Killylea Road.
