Markethill Christmas Lights Switch On 2025
Santa and his Elves are making the long journey in their horse-drawn sleigh to see everyone in Markethill again this year, and will arrive to switch on the Christmas Tree lights in The Square at 7.00pm on Friday 21 November.
The fun starts though at 6.30pm with Tullyvallen Silver Band promising to get us all in the mood to welcome Santa. The Heggarty Twins will be there too with music to sing along to while you enjoy the fun as you wait to meet Santa.
Santa is looking forward to meeting you all and will have a gift for every child. Meanwhile, there will be street performers, jugglers, face-painting, balloon-modelling and glitter-tattooing for your entertainment.
To allow for preparations, traffic restrictions will be as follows; road closure on Main St from the roundabout to the Keady St junction from 5.00pm until 10.30pm. A diversion route will be signposted via Fairgreen Road.
The event is organised by Markethill District Enterprises in conjunction with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.
