Armagh Double-Header Against Donegal In The Ulster Senior Football Finals
Saturday 10th May 2025 - St Tiernach's Park Clones
Venue confirmed for Donegal v Armagh Ulster Senior Football Championship final clash
The venue for the Ulster Senior Football Championship final between Donegal and Armagh had been in doubt for a while.
Clones has now been confirmed as the venue for the Ulster Senior Football Championship final between the two sides.
The final will take place on Saturday 10th May in St Tiernach’s Park to allow for the Ulster Senior Ladies’ Football Championship final (also between Donegal and Armagh) to be played as well. The two games will be part of a double-header in what is set to be a huge afternoon in local football.
Donegal secured their spot in the Ulster final with a convincing win over Down in the semis, the day after Armagh had booked their place in dramatic fashion against bitter rivals Tyrone. Both semi-finals also took place at St Tiernach’s Park.
Originally it was thought the final might be moved to Croke Park to cope with the demand, however, the Ulster council has chosen to keep the Ulster final in the province - in Clones. St Tiernach’s Park has a capacity of around 29,000.
This year sees a repeat of last year’s clash between Donegal and Armagh, Armagh appearing in their third consecutive provincial final, losing the previous two on penalties to Derry and Donegal.
